Types of Lessons + Classes

My passion centers around the Parasympathetic Nervous System, our rest-and-digest state, essential for cellular regeneration and digestion. Mindful movement enhances your self-awareness and your connection to your body, but it requires the intentional act of slowing down—something that's often overlooked in our fast-paced world.

Society and even family systems urge us to keep moving, but these courses invite you to carve out that essential space within yourself, benefiting not just you, but your community and the planet.

All courses are taught through a mindfulness lens, focusing on strength, mobility, balance, restoration, gentle flows, and meditation.

I prefer not to label classes as beginner, intermediate, or advanced, as these terms can misrepresent your body's capabilities, which change daily and seasonally.

Here’s a brief overview of what to expect:

Mindful Movement: Connect with your breath through slower, intentional movements, focusing on alignment and core awareness. You'll learn how to support your body in its ever-shifting state.

Gentle: Enjoy slow, exploratory, primarily mat-based classes.

Restorative: A blend of gentle movements and longer-held poses, with guided reflection, poetry, and relaxation to music. Poses may be held for 3-5 minutes, incorporating gentle transitions.

Advancing: Build on your foundation to learn how to flow with your breath through various movements, especially in the Mindful Movement course and Vinyasa Yoga.
